Sponsorship is $30 a month per piggy
Your sponsorship helps us provide the best possible care for your chosen piggy. Each piggy needs their bag of piggy food, fresh fruits and veggies, treats like nuts and seeds, supplements (vitamins, glucosamine, etc.), orchard or Bermuda hay/dry grasses, health check-ups, and medical care. Some of them need special medications and treatments as well. It all adds up, and we welcome multiple sponsors for each piggy to cover their monthly costs.

Meet the Herd

Bruce
âBefore coming to live with us, Bruce and his buddy Dora the Explorer were both on the euthanasia list at the Ramona shelter in California. To this day they both still snuggle together at night. Bruce has an elbow that was broken and healed in the wrong place. With lots of love, medications, and cold laser therapy, he made a full recovery, and now he cruises around the yard like nothing was ever wrong. He loves big wet snout kisses and is a sucker for tossing food in his mouth as he holds it open wide.

Kiwa
Kiwa came to us from the Apple Valley shelter and was on the euthanasia list with 11 other piggies. We were able to network homes for everyone there, but her... so she came to live with us. She is a boss hog and dominates the toughest piggies in our herd. But she is the sweetest, gentlest girl with us. She loves to talk, especially when we are on the phone. She says... wa, wa, wa waaaaa. Watch out for your food bowls, Kiwa will run and try to sample everyone's before going back to finish her own. She is a water diva and spends hours in the pool.
Sponsors:

Baby Blackhole
We watched Baby Blackhole and her brothers and sisters being born. We rescued her pregnant, ready to pop, mommy from the shelter. Since she was little, she has followed us around the yard, calm and inquisitive. Looking for affection and a belly rub. She got her name because she has a giant blackspot on her back, and loves physics terminology. She loves to follow us around the yard to see what we are up to and can often be found by her smush snouted sister, Stingray. She is always looking for treats, but never begs, just waits politely.
Sponsors:

Navi the Wobble Queen
Navi was saved from the Ramona shelter with Mr. Leo. She was literally dragging on the ground pregnant and ready to pop. She was so sweet and loving from the very moment we took her home. She let us help her as she gave birth to 7 sweet babies. We kept them all and to this day they still spend time together, and if one cries out she races to their side. Navi is sweet, a little shy and so loving.
Sponsors:

Assassin
Mr Assassin is more of a lover than a fighter. Although he does give the occassional jab to his siblings. He is one of Navi's children (see her story). He always seems to find his way next to Colleen (me) throughout the day as he looks loving into my eyes waiting for a belly rub, kiss and any treats I might have with me. He is a silly and busy boy and loves to get up use his potty tray in the middle of the night because he gets a special treat.
Sponsors:

Evé
Eve Weavie as we call her came to us from an owner surrender in Flagstaff AZ. She just loves to weave through our feet all day long. She is the jolliest girl on the planet and nothing phases her as she bobbles around the yard and house. Another pig could snap at her and she just obliviously keeps on going with her day. She is a kunekune mix and her waddles are more like little frankenstien pegs out the side of her neck instead of below. lol.

Maximus
Maximus came to us from the El Cajon neglect case. He was one of the original piggies from that property. He came to us with his two brothers, Tuskers and Taun Taun. He is super sweet, super inquisitive, and smart. He gets up at night if Eve heads to the potty box because he knows if she gets a treat and he is there, he will get a treat too. He is calm, strong, and a protector... hail Maximus!
Sponsors:

Billy
Billy was left behind on an abandoned, burnt-down property in Rimrock, AZ, when his previous owner went to jail. He has to be one of the gentlest and kindest pigs we have. He wants nothing but belly rubs and kisses all day. He spends his afternoons lounging in the pool and digging in the soft dirt under the big juniper tree. He is one of the newest members of our herd and is learning how to fit in with his new family members.
Sponsors:

Chuderella the Awesome Possum
Chud, as we call her for short, came to us the day she gave birth to Thunder. She was way too young to be pregnant and was not nursing. A fellow rescuer heard about her on social media and asked us to help the baby. We said we would only take them both together. Luckily, we did because she was super sick with a high fever and shaking. We nursed them both back to health, and they now spend their days together rolling in mud puddles.
Sponsors:

Tatsu the Tiny Dragon
Tatsu which means Dragon, was saved from death at the Riverside shelter in California. She came to us dangerously obese with severely overgrown hooves. She could barely see from the fat folds over her eys, but with love and care, she’s made a remarkable recovery. Now, Tatsu struts around the yard with confidence, squealing with joy at the highest pitch.
Nicknamed the Helpful Huffer, she insists on following Jason everywhere, supervising every construction or repair project and making sure she’s part of the action.

Dragina
Dragina may be small in size, but she's a Boss Hog. Her name comes from her dragon-like snout and hyena-shaped body, and adorable spots, a combination as unique as she is. Weighing only about 80 pounds, Dragina was a baby born to a pregnant mom from the El Cajon neglect case in California. She and four of her best friends came to live with us after a rescuer who had them was struggling to provide proper care. This tiny but mighty leader loves being rubbed and having her snout booped.
Sponsors:

Captain Thunder Nugget
Captain Thunder Nugget arrived at our sanctuary when he was just one day old, alongside his mommy, Chuderella the Awesome Possum, who was unable to nurse him due to illness. With a little help, they both got back on their hooves. Now, he’s the fastest pig in the yard, playfully pushing around pigs ten times his size. He adores hugs, loves to root and suckle, he barks at new people who come to visit, and if you start singing "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC, he comes running right over! He struts like a rock star, wagging his tail for all to admire.

Marcellus
âNamed after the iconic character from "Pulp Fiction," Marcellus Wallace is Vincent’s best buddy and constant companion. A bit shy but incredibly sweet, he loves to rest his head on your legs while you work and has a charming, Houdini-like way of appearing out of nowhere, hoping for treats. He adores belly rubs and has the most adorable long snout. Marcellus was born to a pregnant mom from the El Cajon neglect case, and the rescuer who had him was no longer able to provide proper care for him. He now has a forever home here with four of his buddies.

Vincent
Named after the iconic character from "Pulp Fiction," Vincent is one of the five El Cajon baby pigs rescued from a caretaker who was unable to care for them. This sweetheart spends most of his time with his buddy Marcellus, and they’re always ready for snuggles and belly rubs. Vincent is always looking up at us fondly, his eyes sparkling and his snout forming a sweet smile. A little mischievous, he loves to munch on dirt, hence the always muddy lips. He is a huge fan of treats and eagerly waits by our feet, trying to melt our hearts with his eyes, so that we will give him extra.

Highlander
Mr. Highlander was discovered roaming the hills of Cottonwood, Arizona, just five days after we found his wife and son in the same area. He was likely dumped by his owners and left to fend for himself. This gigantic boy is always sporting a smile and is incredibly friendly and happy. He loves zipping around for food, sunning on the grass, grazing on dried grasses, and spending much of his day inside the bedroom napping. The moment he was reintroduced to his family, they snuggled and softly grunted. To this day, they all sleep together. He’s a lovable giant who’s sure to steal your heart!
Sponsors:

Betty aka Madame Pisque
Betty came to us from the Devore Shelter, very overweight, a bit fat-blind, and with severely overgrown hooves. Thanks to lots of love and care, she’s shed 47 lbs and now looks absolutely fantastic, gracefully moving around the yard. Betty is a snuggle enthusiast. She is also often dubbed one of our “land sharks” because she’ll sweetly come up for pets and then give a playful side swipe. And that’s not all, she’s our resident psychic pig aka.. Madame Pisque..known for her tarot card readings and future predictions, adding a touch of mystique to the sanctuary.

Sedona
Sedona holds a special place in our hearts as the bright red baby born at the sanctuary to Navi, her mom, who we rescued from the shelter. We witnessed her arrival, feet first, and named her after the stunning Sedona rocks. As the sanctuary's ambassador piggy, she’s the peacemaker of the herd, always introducing herself to newcomers without ever picking a fight. A bit shy and quiet, she tends to lurk in the background but is always ready for a good snuggle. Her nickname is "Donut Sauce," and she truly brings a gentle and calming presence to the sanctuary.
Sponsors:

Hakuna
Hakuna and her young son were found roaming the hills of Cottonwood, arriving just a week before Mr. Highlander. She’s a gentle giant with a sweet, talkative nature, always ready to chat back if you get in her face. A true snuggle monster, she loves belly rubs and having her waddles played with. This big beauty is one of the boss hogs of the sanctuary, keeping everyone in line with her commanding presence. Pumpkins beware... she races to eat every last morsel. When she sleeps, she’s got a cute little whistle from her nose, and her tongue hangs out, making her even more endearing.
Sponsors:

Princess Buttercup
Princess Buttercup, also known as Sergeant Strawhole, made her grand entrance from the Devore Shelter as part of a confiscation case. Once a little overstuffed and fat blind, she’s now a lean, mean, fabulous machine, having shed an incredible 45 pounds and regained her sight! Despite her graceful age and a touch of arthritis, she’s still got the spirit of a true leader. As one of our top “land sharks,” she’ll take on the biggest and toughest pigs with a sassy swagger and a determined push. She’s also a master of stealth, creeping up on guests when they least expect it! But don’t let her fierce reputation fool you, she’s a snuggle aficionado and insists on being right by our side at bedtime. She is known for foaming in anticipation of each meal.

Ava
Ava, also known as Ava Button, is one of the adorable five piglets born from the El Cajon neglect case and rescued from another rescuer. She’s a bit of a wallflower, often hanging back and observing the world with those sweet, shy eyes, but lately, she’s been stepping out of her shell and enjoying some gentle pets and love. Ava sports a little dangly earring on her ear, a memento from a past tussle with her siblings, but it only adds to her charm! Because she’s prone to choking, we make sure her meals are cut up and she eats slowly, but she absolutely adores snuggling up with her siblings. She’s a true sweetheart through and through!

Mr. Leo
Rescued from the Ramona Shelter, Mr. Leo arrived at our shelter alongside super pregnant Navi. As the piglets were born, Jerry Springer yelled out, "You are the father," as most of them looked just like him. With his adorable cross eye, he’s got a mischievous sparkle that makes him the sanctuary's resident goofball. Known as the “drill sergeant,” he loves to kickstart the day with his early morning headbutts, as if he’s shouting, “Rise and shine, everyone!” He’s a playful prankster who loves to stir up a bit of fun with the other pigs, always keeping them on their toes. He’s got a heart of gold and is a defender of the herd. He loves showing off his big, sexy tusks, which just add to his charm!

Miss Daisy
Miss Daisy’s journey to our sanctuary is a testament to her resilience. Originally from the El Cajon neglect case, she first ended up with a rescuer who failed to provide proper care, leading to her pregnancy. She then moved to another rescue where she had to undergo an emergency C-section, though sadly none of her piglets survived. About a year and a half later, she was found starving and covered in mites. Fortunately, we were able to save her and bring her into our sanctuary. Despite everything she’s been through, Miss Daisy is the sweetest little soul, always looking up at you with eyes that melt your heart. She’s also got the cutest pot belly, and a wobble as she walks, making her as endearing as she is strong.

Tauntaun
Tauntaun, named after the iconic Star Wars creature, is the most bashful pig at our sanctuary. His gentle nature is due to his past, as he was rescued from the El Cajon neglect case, where he witnessed some truly horrifying things. TaunTaun has the sweetest, most endearing eyes and makes the cutest little noises that can melt anyone's heart. Although he tends to be the low man on the totem pole, he finds comfort in his brothers' company. When it comes to mealtime, Tauntaun has a special spot on an elevated bench where he stashes his food and enjoys his lunch in peace. He enjoys sleeping in the kitchen at night since he gets extra treats as we walk in and out.

Matata
Matata, a young kunekune pig, was found roaming the hills of Cottonwood with his loving mommy, Hakuna. And just a week later, his daddy, Mr. Highlander, was found nearby. Matata is hands down the friendliest pig at the sanctuary! He'll come running and bobbling with his waddles, jiggling as fast as he can to get to your feet for a belly rub, and he will drop before you even reach down for him. This little bundle of joy is incredibly trusting, loving to be spooned, rolled, have his snout kissed, and booped. He’s a true attention magnet. The only time he’s not begging for human attention is when he’s following his mommy around the yard. He uses his honking noise to scream at the top of his lungs to alert us that the sun is up.

Stingray
Where is Singray? Is she out exploring the yard or hiding under her pillows? lol! Stingray, also known as Baby Ray, is one of the adorable piglets born from our rescued pregnant mama, Navi. This little charmer is always on the move, exploring every corner of the sanctuary with her playful spirit. She absolutely loves her belly rubs and is one of the pigs that loves having her hooves manicured. Despite her "glitchy legs," which sometimes make her back legs wobble and look a bit funny, she handles it like a champ. And if she ever gets stuck, were are always there to lend a helping hand. She can often be found snuggling with her sister Blackhole; we call them the smushy snout sisters.

Nike
Nike, also known as Chuba or Chuba Chunks, is the adorable "Chubmarine" who was born to our rescued mama, Navi. From the moment she was born, she was all about the cuddles, refusing to hang out on the ground with her siblings and insisting on being carried and snuggled 24/7. She's got a super cute, crooked tail that adds to her charm. When guests arrive, she's the first to greet them with her friendly energy, turning circles and pressing her butt into the ground to show you she is doing a trick by sitting. She, just like some humans, has a bit of a slower metabolism and tends to be a little on the chunkier side compared to her siblings. We do our best to keep her healthy while at the same time, worshiping her for the goddess she is.

Petunia
Petunia, also affectionately known as Tunias, was being given away for free, online, the week before Thanksgiving. Luckily, we were able to swoop in and bring her to the sanctuary just in time! She’s made an incredible transformation, losing over 70 pounds since she arrived. She has the most magical scent; she smells like brown sugar! If you get within about five feet of her, it’s like a sweet, sugary candle was lit. Her best buddies are Eve and Mr. Highlander, and when she's not lounging and watching TV, she’s happily following one of them around the yard. When you go to pet her tummy, she’ll roll over as far as she possibly can to get that belly rub!

Dora the Explorer
Rescued from the Ramona shelter alongside her buddy Bruce, Dora is our resident boss pig with a flair for, you guessed it.. Exploring. She’s got a unique quirk: a bit of a fear of thresholds, which means she’ll stand at doorways and really think about whether or not she wants to cross. The kitchen? Nope, she won't enter it!
While most pigs are just fine with basic tricks, Dora takes it up a notch and loves to arm wrestle. She also adores playing in the water and blowing bubbles. When she’s not keeping everyone in line or enjoying her water antics, you can find her inside, lounging and watching TV, always ready for a belly rub. And let’s not forget, she’s got a soft spot for grandma's heavy hand in the treat bowl when she visits.

Rogue
Introducing Rogue, also known as DJ Rogue, the pig with a rhythm all his own! Famous for his hilarious lip-smacking and beatboxing antics and videos, he keeps everyone entertained for hours. Rogue is always on the go, whether he’s munching on hay or exploring the yard. He’s one of Navi’s adorable children, with a distinctive pink snout and a quirky eye just like his rescued daddy, Mr. Leo. Plus, he’s got a cute nickname, Ogre Pants, because of his adorable pajama-pant-like bottom that everyone loves to pet! Early in the morning, before the sun comes up, he likes to wiggle his way in next to Colleen and snuggle with her. He is usually one of the last piggies to come in at night because he wants the hay box all to himself.

Mr. Tyson
Tyson got his name because he’s got a little chunk missing from his ear. He was almost named Holyfield, but Tyson just fits him perfectly! He was the runt of Navi's children (she was pregnant when we rescued her). One of his favorite things in the world is doing circles, and if you shout “circle,” even from 30 feet away, he’s spinning around with excitement! He's got a funny little "maah" noise that he makes when he talks and gets super excited. Especially when treats are involved, he will shake his head all over the place and get adorably distracted. Tyson has a goofy little step, and he’s always found hanging out by the hay box, enjoying his snacks.

Pele the Lava Goddess
Introducing Pele, our very own Lava Goddess, who came to us from the Riverside shelter. This lovely lady has shed 25 pounds since her arrival and is looking fabulous! She moves with a hilarious, low-to-the-ground gait, kind of like a komodo dragon with a long, trailer-like body!
Despite her arthritis and slower pace, Pele is a top hog with a big personality. If any pig dares to challenge her, she’ll gently plow through and restore order! She’s named after the goddess of volcanoes, not the soccer player, and loves her cozy naps in her favorite sunny spots or snuggled up in bed. And of course, she adores her belly rubs! Watch out at feeding time, Pele must have her bowl put down first, or else she will steal everyone's.

Tusker
Tusker, one of the resilient survivors from the El Cajon neglect case. Along with his two brothers, Tusker found his forever home at the sanctuary. He’s got a unique charm: due to his previous shoulder injury, he’s developed extraordinary strength in his back legs and can stand upright like a kangaroo for a whole minute!
He might look a bit intimidating with his mouth open wide, but don’t worry, he’s just eagerly waiting for treats. His walk is adorably quirky because of his shorter leg, but it just adds to his charm. Tusker loves spending his time inside, relaxing and watching TV, getting cold laser treatments, massage, and love.
